Membership Objectives
Goal 1: Providing a forum for reflection on the status of Hispanics/Latinos in church and society at the regional and national levels.
To provide a forum of reflection on the status of Hispanics/Latinos in church and society and provide a network for mutual support and collaboration among our membership by holding an Annual Membership meeting once a year in the fall and providing at least one training workshop per meeting.
Goal 2: Being a network for mutual support and collaboration among religious, professional and civic organizations serving Hispanic/Latino Communities.
To convene Hispanic Leaders in the Church and Society by holding NCCHM’s 3rd Hispanic Leadership Congress, Raíces y May 2003
Goal 3: Promoting fuller participation of Hispanics/Latino, especially youth and young adults, in church and society, by assisting through higher and advanced education in pastoral and theological studies.
To provide education to our membership by providing two Stewardship Trainings per year through NCCHM’s Fund Raising Training Workshops and one symposium per year of particular interest as Leadership Development.
Goal 4: Advocating on behalf of Hispanic/Latinos in the area of human rights and working in collaboration with like-minded associations.
To advocate to our constituency, by providing a Bi-Annual News Letter called “Puentes” that will keep our membership and others informed of the current demographics, research briefs, organizations updates and announce future programs and services and incorporate theological reflections on Hispanic Ministry.
Goal 3: Promoting fuller participation of Hispanics/Latino, especially youth and young adults, in church and society, by assisting through higher and advanced education in pastoral and theological studies.
To disseminate NCCHM’s Hispanic Leadership Program, and provide quality training and technical assistance to 10 institutions by the end of 2003.
Goal 5: Articulating of theological, pastoral and social issues and concerns of special interest to Hispanics/Latinos through, workshops, research and publication
To produce at least one research project every 2 years to provide the membership and the nation with the current needs of Hispanic Catholics in the US.

To create a regranting component of NCCHM’s organization to provide financial assistance to those qualifying students who wish to earn an advance degree in Theology.
Goal 6: Facilitating communication among grass-roots communities, church, civic, and professional organizations.
To provide critical information on Hispanic Ministry by becoming an Internet portal to our membership and abroad via NCCHM’s Website.
