South East Pastoral Center celebrates 30 years of service

This past October, SEPI celebrated its 30 years of pastoral service to the Southeast Diocesan región and the People of God throughout the nation.

Archbishop Favalora, president of SEPI´s Board of Directors, invited the Bishops of the Southeast Dioceses to attend this important occasion, noting: “SEPI has effectively assisted the Archbishops and Bishops of the region with the training of clergy, religious and lay people responding to the pastoral and spiritual needs of the growing Hispanic Catholic community.

Under the leadership of Rev Mario Vizcaíno, SchP, SPD, who recently was selected by CARA to receive the 2008 Cardinal Cushing Award for the Advancement of the Church, SEPI has grown from its humble beginnings serving Miami to serving the thirty dioceses of Regions V and XIV. In recognition of this special anniversary, SEPI will be sending its two volume- compilation of the original documents of the Hispanic Ministry history to each of these diocese and to the Catholic University.”
